Transferred my pictures from my Android phone to Linux over USB as I
always do, but, this time a half-dozen of my photos won't open.

They all come up with the message:
Could not load image 'name.jpg' Error interpreting JPEG image file
(improper calls to JPEG library in state 200)

Here is a screenshot: Loading Image...

Any ideas what this message is trying to tell me?

It shows zero bytes so something got corrupted in the copying process.

If there is no corruption on your Android, delete them on your Linux box
and try again

The file appears to have zero bytes - which is a bit short for a JPEG.

The file transfer didn't work.

The real image might still exist on the original media but parts may
have been lost forever. Retry the transfer by mounting the phone as a
bulk storage device copy files and cross all fingers and toes!
